With this comment I interviewed James Strachan born an raised in Cat Island and is 71 years old he says that he is familiar with the term cerasee growing up he and his siblings had to drink it every so often to clean their stomach out.For example his mother would call him and say come and drink this cerasee its goog for you.

I have interviewed Amanda Bodie, An 89 year old resident of Eleuthera. Mrs. Bodie is familiar with the term. She also said that as a child, her mom boiled the cerasee vine until the water got a dark greenish/brown colour. After this process, both her and her siblings would drink a cup to cleanse their system. Example: Can you pick a few cerasee vines for me?
