The individual I asked about this term is from Acklins Island. They are 66 years of age and is aware of the term "Potcake". They would usually use this term when a pot of rice or grits is cooked and the burnt hard portion at the bottom of the pot is the only thing left to eat. According to him this is the best part of the cooked meal.
