Comment of Sherelle Fernander:
The person that I choose to interview for the word ‘barracuta’ is my cousin. She is 62 years old. She is from New Providence. My cousin stated that she is familiar with this term. However, many Bahamians do not like to eat the fish because it is poisonous. She expressed that it must be caught in a particular area in order for it not to be poisonous. The fish can be boiled or fried and is said to be sweet in taste.
